Brazilian black tarantula

Grammostola pulchra
The Brazilian black tarantula is a burrowing arachnid found in the grasslands and tropical forests of Uruguay and Brazil.
It is covered in short fine hairs giving it the appearance of velvet, and is jet black in color.
These ambush predators hunt at night for insects, small lizards, and mice.
Adult Brazilian black tarantulas may grow up to 5-6 inches.
