- Llamas are native to the Andes mountains range in South America.
- Llamas have long necks, long legs, rounded muzzles, lower incisors that stick out, and cleft upper lips.
- Llamas weigh between 210 and 250 pounds, lengths between 3 and 5 feet.
- They are very social and in the wild can live in groups of up to 20 led by a dominant male Llama.
- Llamas are covered with 3 to 8 inches of wool enables llamas to withstand cold, wind, snow and rain.
