Peafowl (common)

Pavo Cristatus
The peacock is the national bird of India where it is a resident of semi-desert grasslands and deciduous forests.
Being a typical sexually dimorphic species, the females are dull grey-green with slight iridescent blue, while males are extravagantly dressed with long green and blue "eyed" iridescent tail feathers that they use to display to females and other males.
They are a terrestrial species but they do roost in trees.
