Prevost's Squirrel
- Callosciurus Prevostii
- Slightly smaller than the common gray squirrel of the USA, this species is black with white on the face and along the sides with auburn limbs.
- The Prevost's squirrel is native to tropical Southeast Asia where it is fairly common to the trees of the lowland forests.
- They are omnivorous, feeding on seeds and fruits, as well as small insects and other vegetation.
- Once they are mature this normally solitary rodent can produce 3 litters of offspring each year.
