Spectacled Owl*

Pulsatrix Perspicillata
The spectacled owl is a fairly large bird with a wingspan of 3 feet.
Its name is derived from the black "spectacles" around its yellow eyes.
They are locally common to the edges of dense mature tropical rainforests from Central America south through Brazil.
Owls are expert nocturnal hunters because they have excellent low-light vision and asymmetrical ears that help them localize sounds made by prey.
