Sun Conure*

Aratinga Solstitialis
The sun conure is golden yellow with orange-red feathers around the cheeks and green flight and tail feathers.
They prefer upland areas of dry rainforest that protect them from floods.
Their diet consists of exotic fruits, flowers, buds, and assorted seeds.
They are very playful and family oriented and will often assist in the raising of young from other birds.
Unlike many other conure and parrot species kept at the Palm Beach Zoo, the sun conure is classified by the IUCN as of the least concern for global populations.
