Yellow-naped Amazon

Amazona Auropalliata Auropalliata
As with other amazons, this species is an elegant shade of green with a yellow patch on the back of its neck.
They are native to Central America through South America.
This arboreal species has zygodactyl feet, which means two toes face forward and two toes face backward which help it climb.
They are classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN because they inhabit such a large range.
